The Legendary Flaming Coal

I put this under fan art because it does use parts from the City of Heroe's character creation tool.

This is my main character on the game. He's a fire/fire tanker on the Champion server.

I did a pencil shaded drawing of him, scanned it in, then I used a burn overlay of the colors I wanted for the seperate parts, and finally I added layers for shadows and highlights. Then I picked a old fire texture I manufacted from a photo. I put that under the drawing. Added text generated with Gimp, and altered it.

To alter the text and image to give a blur effect, I set another layer on top did a motion blur and followed that with a wave distortion. I went back to the character layer selected all but the white portions, selected the blur layer and cleared that selection.
