Digital ninja

Mon Aug 2, 2004, 6:51 PM
Digital ninja was probably my favorite original character for color and the head design... I'm going to be soon creating a more organic design, a final design for him now that ninja gaiden has come out, and I have a good reference. I also went and purchased shinobi for another good reference. But I'm keeping the original old style head, and incorporating the more organic body. Probably I'll start a sketch, and then follow up with a watercolor.

Nice art you've got here =)

I'm really falling in love with watercolor... I'm hoping to improve more... I'm really surprised how fast I'm improving just in three watercolor pictures I feel very confident in my abilities...

I'm really excited to see what I can do with color as well...

I checked out your page... and you're still ahead of me :)

heheheh

I really like the slight impressionism you throw into your work...

I'm finding myself rather blunt with my creativity. Hopefully I can learn some from you?
:iconfarrah:
I like watercolour too, but I'm, unlike you, not so confedent in using it. But I'm sure, as you said, that you improve yourself each time you try to do something new with it.
I checked out your spiderman in color, it looks really great with the shading =)
thanks for the comment on my work =)
heheh, well if you can learn something from me I'm sure I can learn much from you too =)
keep up the good work!

I'll try. I'd really like to work with production art. Draw out the scences and characters before they are designed. Then again, I have my computer science degree as a backup, which will probably be the job I get, and my art will remain a side thing. I just can't find a buying audience yet. Gotta get better then.

Production art seems to be fun to work with, but maybe it isn't so easy to get a job in the business...or maybe it is, I don't know so much about it...however, with the degree you have you will probably get a good job =)
I can imagine that it's hard to find a buying audience, if you want to sell your work you have to make sure people know that you're out there, there's always someone who likes your art.
thanks for the comment on "Lintu", I saw that you have sumbmitted some new work, so I'm going to check them out now=)
